The four resources are scattered all across the map, and accessible within or near the starting tile. This map has all four natural resource types available (fertile land, forest, oil, and ore). You can connect to the ship route from the tile south of your starting tile.Īnd since this map is from the Airports DLC, it’s not surprising that there’s plenty of flat land here – all perfect for building large custom airport areas, or even just placing basic ploppable airports. You’ll only need to purchase one expansion (the tile south of your starting tile) to reach the ship route in the southern sea. The railway can be hard to see through the fog look for the abandoned station west of your starting tile. Look for the abandoned train station in order to find it. It’s actually just west of your starting tile. The railway connection can be very hard to see through the fog if you’re zoomed out. Highways going northwest, northeast, and southeast of the map. You’ll find it very easy to get some highway access no matter which part of the map you build towards. Your highway connection goes through the middle of the map and branches out into three directions. This map has all four external connection types available: You have three rows of purchasable tiles above, and only one row below, your starting tile (highlighted). This means there is only one row of purchasable tiles to the south, and three rows to the north. Unlike the majority of maps, wherein the start tile is in the center of a 5×5 grid, the starting tile on Noyou Port is in the fourth row. The wind on your starting tile in Noyou Port However, the wind is strongest along the riverbanks and in the small areas of elevated land near the highway, so place any wind turbines there to get max efficiency (8MW). There’s plenty of wind all over this tile. Your first tile gives you a fairly easy start, with lots of flat land and a river running along the right-hand side. Towards the south is the jagged coastline with a peninsula and islands. You’ll find interesting details, such as this small wetland area, all over the map. The middle of the map gives you plenty of buildable land, with rivers winding through it and small lakes and wetlands scattered around.
